BEVERLY — High school seniors from across the region picked up valuable tips on networking from local business leaders last month, thanks to a new partnership.
The Beverly Rotary Club, the Beverly High School Interact Club and the Greater Beverly Chamber of Commerce teamed to offer a mixer aimed at helping the students find internships with local businesses. The idea grew from a suggestion from members of the Interact Club.
The event was held Jan. 30 at the Danversport Waterfront function facility, and it drew more than 200 students and business leaders from across the area. Jodi R.R. Smith, owner of Mannersmith Etiquette Consulting in Marblehead, led a hands-on session on networking. Students from Beverly, Danvers and Hamilton-Wenham attended.
