Free business discussion board hosted by Metropolis of Kalgoorlie-Boulder to debate business and attracting new employees

A free industry forum to support local businesses to attract and retain employees will be hosted by the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder next month.

The Talking Business Forum will discuss recruitment trends and the importance of positive workplace culture.

City chief executive John Walker said the forum had been designed to support local businesses in addressing recruitment challenges.

“We have a lot of businesses locally who are having trouble filling jobs and retaining staff, and this workshop will give them really practical tips to help them fill those vacancies and help get them on the path to some really effective workplace development,” he said.

“This is about supporting them to not only find and recruit those high quality applicants, but also attracting them to live and work here in Kalgoorlie-Boulder.”

The Talking Business forum is supported by Highgrade Personnel and Industry Link Media, with an interactive panel session with The People and Culture Office and Collective Culture Consultancy.

It will take place on August 4 at the De Bernales Tavern from 10am to 11.30am.
